Microchip Technology is a manufacturer of microcontroller, memory and analog semiconductors.

 

Its products include microcontrollers, Serial EEPROM devices, Serial SRAM devices, radio frequency (RF) devices, thermal, power and battery management analog devices, as well as linear, interface and mixed signal devices.

 

Some of the interface devices include USB, ZigBee/MiWi, Controller Area Network, and Ethernet.

 

Microchip Technology acquired Micrel in 2015, complementing and strengthening its analog and mixed-signal IC portfolio in the linear and power markets.

 

In April 2016, Microchip announced that it has completed its acquisition of Atmel Corporation.
